Continuity programs work and they work really well… but a lot of marketers are using them in a very deceptive way.
They give a free ’something’ such as a CD and then as one of the bonuses automatically put you on a continuity program by saying you have 30 days free. Sometimes it is related to the orginal offer… sometimes it isn’t. Normally they are sneaky about it and you don’t actually let you uncheck that option… they just mention (on the sales page in the bonus area) you can cancel it at anytime (which the majority of people forget about).
But with Eben’s Get Altitude program… he does it the good way.
He tells you in the bonuses and then on the 2nd order page (where you fill in your credit card details and pay the most attention) you can actually uncheck the continuity program… which is great… but he really puts on the pressue… because when you uncheck that option he removes another 3 bonuses (ouch… I’m gonna leave it checked
).
Open, honest and very effective… I love it.
You can learn a lot by what the ‘big guys’ are doing. Put on your marketing goggles.
All the best to your success. Here’s to ‘the real deal’ marketing.
