"Better Than PLR - Personal Debate…"

On the subject of Private Label Rights, affiliate marketing

Ok I sent out an email for John Hostler’s new membership Renegade Affiliates Monthly (BTW here is his old one for niche sites… Renegade Copy Monthly ) with the title "Is This Better Than PLR?"

Here it is here…

////////////////////////////

G’ Day

One of the things that I have discovered in my years online is that
people generally like programs and products that are easy… stuff
that allows them to make money easily.

So, it was with that in mind when my friend John Hostler developed
this sizzling hot new program to hand you 2 turnkey online
businesses that you could profit from, both quickly AND easily.

And you’ll have to click below to see why this is even BETTER than
PLR >> Better Than PLR?

To your success,

Paul Kleinmeulman

/////////////////////////////

He wrote that email for me, because he knows I am the PLR guy and when I first read it I had my feathers ruffled. I know that PLR works! It works for me it works for a lot of my customers. It is the perfect way to get your OWN product up in running in a minimum amount of time… so that you can earn 100% of sales and so you can have other people (affiliates) promote your product for you.

So I had a think about it.

What is the pro’s and con’s of affiliate marketing compared to PLR?

Lets start with affiliate marketing.

Pro’s

1) Instant Product - You can’t get any more instant then affiliate marketing. It’s there it’s ready and they have done all the work. All you have to do is promote it and get paid.

2) You Know It Sells - If you found the affiliate product on ClickBank and it has any gravity at all, you know it sells.

3) You Know How Well It Sells - Lets take that a step further. Once again by looking at the gravity you know how well it sells, and more importantly how many affiliates are making money by selling that product.

4) Instant Authority - You are not the expert… you are pointing to somebody who is.

5) Split Testing - If the product owner is worth their salt… they will be split testing the sales page and making appropriate changes to improve the conversion rate and you benefit from that.

6) No Support - No customer support or any technical problems that you have to think of.

I like it but lets talk about the con’s.

Con’s

1) No Business - You are building somebody else’s business and you don’t have one of your own. You are just making a dollar.

2) They Set The Commissions - They set the commissions and they can raise it or lower it at a whim.

3) They Have Full Control - They can pull the product instantly… and suddenly there goes your income. Or they can turn the sales page into a squeeze page and suddenly your conversion rates stink, so you are now losing money with your advertising and you are building THEIR list.

4) They Build The Customer List - Their customers, their list and it’s all gold for them.

5) No Leverage - You do all the grunt work and only get paid when you drive the traffic.

6) 100% Trust Needed - In them and in the affiliate company that is sending you the payments.

7) Competition - You are competing against 100’s of affiliates all with the same product which you can’t differenciate.

8) Restrictions - Restrictions on trademarks and where you promote etc.

Ok not bad… not good either but now lets talk about PLR.

Pro’s

1) Nigh Instant Product - Yes it does take some work but you can have your own product in less than 24 hours if you are really serious about getting in their and getting the work done (The first one always takes the longest, but it gets easier from there).

2) It’s Yours - It’s all yours and you have full control. You can sell it where you want, you can set the price and the commissions (always check your PLR Terms and Licensing Agreement so you are not breaking your license).

3) Leveage - You are leveraging other peoples work, traffic and lists when you offer an affiliate program for your product.

4) JV Partners - You can approach JV partners who have lists who can promote your product for instant revenue.

5) You Set The Conversion - You have full control on the conversion.

6) You Build The List - You can build the prospect list (on the sales page) and the customer list and an affiliate list. It’s all yours.

7) Differentiation - You can differentiate your product from anything else out there or any competition.

8) Product Splintering - You can split that product into multiple products and target different niches within a niche.

9) Authority - You can brand yourself as the authority and lead your niche.

10) You Get Paid First - Depending on what affilate system you are using… you can get paid first.

Very Nice… But lets look at the con’s…

Con’s

1) Competition - Other people with the same PLR license have the exact same content that you have.

2) Takes Time To Grow - Takes time to grow your affiliate list, your prospect list, your customer list and the traffic to your site.

3) You Have To Build Authority - Because you are just coming in fresh into a market you have to build authority and that can take time.

4) You Are Starting From 0 - Increasing your conversions takes time… so you need to do the testing to find out what sells the best.

5) Customer Support - All those technical responsiblities and customer support are all your problems and they have to be handled promptly and professionally.

Ok you have got a few issues there that you need to consider.

So is affiliate marketing better than PLR?

Affiliate marketing should always be a balanced part of your business. When you have a list, you send them offers to buy (offers for affiliate products) but in my opinion you must build your own business first.

That is why I love Renegade Affiliates Monthly and Renegade Copy Monthly because John especially gives you a squeeze page and a series of autoresponders to BUILD YOUR LIST! But that’s only a fraction of what he gives you. Check out all the details at Renegade Affiliates Monthly and Renegade Copy Monthly

Talk about a win, win, win situation.

All the best to your online success.

Sincerely,

"The Myth Of Instant Businesses"

On the subject of Private Label Rights

G’ Day Marketers,

3 weeks ago I purchased the complete business of another internet marketer.

It was an 8 Instant Business package with PLR (it’s right up my alley).

You can see the package here… http://8.AutomaticNicheBusinesses.com
(If you are interested don’t buy just yet, I got something to say first ;-) )

If you don’t know PLR or Private Label Rights makes it dead easy to create a product and start selling it nigh instantly.

That’s why I released one of the first PLR products to help those marketers that were struggling to create their own products (I knew just how much effort it took me to get somebody else to create the products for me when I first started).

But when you purchase 8 PLR products are they really 8 instant businesses?

Of course not… Why not?

Well once you have the product and the website that is just the start.

After that comes the best part and the most challenging… the marketing part.

When you have a product and a website what do you need next?

You need targeted traffic to that website. In other words interested people who are looking for information, a solution and are willing to pay for it.

Is that hard to do?

To be honest not really. There are more ways to get traffic than you can poke a stick at but all of these ways take a certain amount of time to implement.

Even with Adwords, yes it takes just 5 minutes to get traffic, but if you want to do it properly you will create specific Adword groups centered around one keyword phrase/category, you have to track the ads and find out which is making you money. That takes time.

And I highly recommend that you use multiple sources of traffic because there is an old saying, ‘never put all your eggs in the one basket’ because what will happen if that one source suddenly shut down. You would be out of business. Plus all the fish don’t always swim in the one pond ;-) (but that’s another article).

So is it instant? No it’s not.

What’s my solution?

Sorry I don’t have a magic pill that will instantly drive a ton of customers to your door.

But I do have a solution.

Focus!

Pick one and focus on driving traffic to that one website until you start making a sale a day. Create multiple streams of traffic and ensure you have your systems all set up so that you can outsource any work and run it on near autopilot.

When one is running by itself, then you move onto the next and the next, to build multiple streams of income. Not only will you building a series of businesses but you will also know what has worked best for you in the past so that you can rinse and repeat (as they say).

Instant? Nope, but highly effective and something I strongly recommend for setting up multiple streams of income on autopilot.

So if you are interested in purchasing 8 businesses with which you can create your own multiple income streams check this out….

All the best for your online success.
