Too Many Niches Spoil The Broth…
By Paul Kleinmeulman

This article is a continuation from yesterday’s article about ‘the benefits of multiple niches’ but this one is in the opposite vein. It’s about how too many niches can make your business weak and your cash flow pitiful.

Here are 5 reasons why too many niches can sap the strength from your business.

1)  No Focus

The success of any business is being focused on a strong Unique Selling Proposition (USP). The key element is ‘focused’ on the customers needs and if you have too many niches it is impossible to focus on them all.

2)  No Time

It takes time to not only start your business, to build it, but also to maintain it. When you have too many niches, it becomes impossible to maintain and give them the attention that they need to grow. Otherwise they will be in constant decline.

For example, let’s say that you are advertising 20 different sites via Adwords. Now if you have ever used Adwords, you will know how costly it is if you have just one campaign that is not profitable. Every time somebody clicks you would be losing money.

Let’s say that it took 5 minutes every site to check whether you made money that day. That would be 1 hour and 40 minutes everyday for those 20 sites.

Pretty soon, your time is being eaten away just to maintain sites, and maintaining doesn’t mean growing… which brings us to…

3)  No Growth

What do you need to grow a business? You need focus, time, creativity, relationships, new products, new partners and the list goes on.

It is impossible to do that for multiple sites, every day. When you neglect the above aspects of your business… it declines, growth = more cash.

4)  Multiplication of Problems

Outsourcing is a great way to get a lot more done, in a lot more areas. But with the multiplication of people, comes a multiplication of problems. Lets say a writer you have been hiring for 6 months to constantly create new content for Niches A, C and F suddenly disappears. What do you do? Now you are back to square one.

And I haven’t even touched support and technical issues, hosting, payment processors, and list management.

Too many niches can create too many problems, that even an outsourcing, delegating, intelligent owner can’t handle.

5)  No Information

Markets change, it’s a fact and if you are in too many niches, you can miss when it moves or a new competitor comes to town, and suddenly you wonder why you are making less sales or no sales at all. If you even notice because you can’t check your stats everyday.

If you were watching that basket carefully, nobody would steal all your eggs.

So there are just 5 reasons why too many niches can hurt you rather then help you.

Stay tuned for our next article, about how to make more money without entering more niches.

All the best for your online success,

Sincerely,

"The Benefits Of Multiple Niches…"

On the subject of Internet Marketing Business, Niche Marketing

I just want to share with you a short article about the benefits of marketing in multiple niches.

It really comes down to a simple equation. If one niche brings $x/month then 2 or 3 or 100 niches gives 2 or 3 or 100 times more money per month. In the real world though this equation isn’t linear, in other words, if one niche is making you $100/day then a different niche most likely wont make exactly $100/day, it will make more or less.

You get the principle but let’s look at the why.

Why do you make more money with multiple niches?

Let me share with you 3 reasons.

1.    Limitation of Population…

The first reason you make more money when you have multiple niches is that you simply reach more people, giving you more sales. Most niches only have a limited amount of people searching for solutions, and by entering multiple niches, you have suddenly expanded your number of potential customers.

2.    Limitation of Communication…

How often can you contact a potential customer before it is too much? How many times can you send them an email before they say, I don’t want to hear from you anymore? The equation is simple, the more times you contact a person, the quicker they will say, no more. It doesn’t matter how good the emails are, if there are too many then people don’t have time to read them. Especially when your communication is promotion based.

Therefore, by having one list, one niche, you are instantly limiting your profit potential because you can only communicate with them a limited number of times. Multiply your niches, and you multiply the number of emails you can send.

Here is a practical example, you shouldn’t have received an email from me for over 2 weeks now (one month now that I have checked). But I have just finished a 12 day sale, which I successfully promoted via a separate list.

3.    Limitation of Promotion…

How about if I took the above example, and said I want to do a sale for each niche. You couldn’t do that if you had, one niche, you couldn’t do sale after sale after sale with one niche. But you can with multiple niches.

Makes sense doesn’t it? Yes, but here’s a practical warning.

Too many niches, can shoot you in the foot as well.

With too many niches, your energy, thoughts, attention is too diffused, you can’t give enough time (even for delegation) for every niche and neglect is a quick way to kill your business. But that’s a story for another article.

Also here is another thought, most marketers (myself included) can get easily distracted. You create a product, but don’t finish the sales page and you get another idea to create another product, and you start building that, neglecting the first. Thus you never make any money, because you don’t make money unless you sell something, until it’s finished. But that’s another story for another article.

Moral of the story, to make more money, multiply your niches.

All the best for your online success,

Sincerely,

Paul Kleinmeulman

"Overcoming Massive UnMotivation"

On the subject of Internet Marketing Business

For the last few weeks I have been very unmotivated in my business. I have had no desire to go forward or do anything related to making money online.

* I didn’t want to check my email
* I didn’t want to write promotional emails or articles
* I didn’t want to do the work I knew needed to be done

I was also…

* Sleeping in
* Wasn’t exercising
* Eating junk food

Basically I have been drifting along with no new direction and to tell you the truth I didn’t want to either… But last night I decided to change that because I had one thing that most people don’t have.

Somebody was relying on me.

If you are suffering from massive unmotivation then you need to get this one thing as soon as possible, because for me it works like magic.

You need an accountability partner or somebody who you are responsible to or who is relying on you. When I was first starting in my business it was my family, they needed the income from my business. Money is not a motivator for me at the present time but specifically for me at the moment my accountability partner is Amir Darwish, one of my original mentoring students. Together we are creating a course that I have been wanting to create for over 5 years but it has always been too big for me (I just wasn’t motivated enough). But now with his help we have created a plan, we have set deadlines and he is relying on me to hold up my end of the deal.

Here are a few essentials for an AP (accountability partner).

1.    Related - It helps if the person knows about what you are trying to achieve (in the same industry) so they know about what you are trying to do and what needs to get done.

2.    Respect Both Ways - There needs to be respect both ways, you need to value your AP and they need to value you. Because if you don’t care then you won’t be responsible.

3.    Encouraging - They need to be encouraging not critical.

4.    Firm But Fair - They need to keep the deadline that you have set together.

5.    Available - You don’t want to talk to your AP once every month you need to talk to them regularly and not avoid them.

Finding one can be relatively easy, I recommend a close friend in your related business or somebody you know from a related forum. I don’t recommend your spouse as an AP.

To conclude this article I just want to share with you 3 things I did to get me back on track.

1.    I Made A Decision - Everything always starts with a decision, and if you want to get back on track then you need to make a strong resolution for change. You need to decide to change starting from today.

2.    Set Your Goals - You need direction and you need to know where you are going so you must set daily goals. After I made my decision to change, I set 3 goals of what I was going to do straight away.

3.    Wake Up Early - I don’t know what it is but I find sleeping in very demotivating. For me it is essential to wake up early to be in the right state of mind.

4.    Disconnect The Internet - The only reason I am writing this article is because it is 4:30am and I have the internet disconnected so I have 0 distractions.

If you are tired of drifting along, I highly recommend you seriously try the above suggestions.

All the best to your online success.

Sincerely,

Paul Kleinmeulman
Australia

P.S. If you are thinking, "Paul, why didn’t you just use one of your super motivation audios?" Good question and the answer is I didn’t want to be motivated, so I especially didn’t listen to them. But when I made the decision, one of the first things that I did was put on the Maximum Motivation audio from http://www.MyMindShift.com and let me tell you they still work. I was able to get everything done in half the time.

"Nigh Perfect JV Letter…"

On the subject of Internet Marketing Business, Roy Carter

Re:- The Best JV Letter I Have Received In A Long Time…

I just wanted to share with you an exact copy of an email I received just yesterday. In my opinion it is a nigh perfect example of what to do right when approaching a potential JV, and it is the best one I have received in such a long time.

Because it’s not ‘perfect’ and because I want to share with you which were the best elements I will be adding in my own comments <<like this>>.

Subject = Paul - ** Personal from Roy at "Info Products Made Easy!" **

<<This subject didn’t do anything for me as I read all my email anyway and using ‘personal’ really erks me (too many people have abused this). But he is trying to brand himself and that gets points. A better one would have been… Well it’s a tough one… because I have found no perfect subject line yet.

But something like this would have got my attention. "Paul, Can I Send You A Plasma TV?" LOL Too Hypy…  it’s that hard line between, personal, benefit, not spam.

"Paul I Have A Joint Venture Proposal For You" Isn’t good as it automatically puts my guard up and I say ‘not again’.

Ah I think a good one would have been "Paul, <Insert Medium Marketers Name> Made $x,xxx From One Mail Out!"

Ok let me tell you one of the major reasons it would be a good subject line. Social proof and results oh and curiosity (3 actually ;-) ). If you put in Ewen Chia or Mike Filsaime… FORGET IT! I don’t have a 50k plus list and I won’t achieve those results, so I don’t try. But if you put somebody that I know personally and somebody who is about at my level, and especially somebody who is a friend of mine… you got a winning combination. Plus if they made $x,xxx from one mailing it means they sold at least 20 copies with their list and that means good results, so I am going to sit up and take notice!>>

Hi Paul,

Hope it’s nice and sunny over there in Queensland! I got married there (PortDouglas) in February and it rained for 2 weeks solid!
<<Perfect intro… 100% personal and he knows where I live.>>

Paul, my name is Roy Carter (fellow warrior) and I am the creator of
the brand new "Info Products Made Easy!" course.
<<Building repore here because we are both warriors even though I haven’t noticed him in the forum before, still don’t know what his username is (that might of helped even more)>>

<<These next points should have had a little intro and look a little naked but…>>
- $55.00 Commission per Sale

- Copy Written By Alan Forrest Smith

- This product won the JV competition held by Andrew Fox

- Promoted successfully by Brett McFall, Andrew Fox and Matthew Glanfield (so far)
<<They were bolded and got my attention as I have met Andrew and Brett personally>>

On the basis of "If you don’t ask, you don’t get", I wondered if you would
consider the possibility of promoting my product to your list?
<<Once again 100% personal and perfect sentance… quotes one of my favorite sayings and goes straight to the point… love it! (already sold at this point already and just needed to find out if it was any good) >>

The sales page for the website (written by Alan Forrest Smith)
is here:

http://www.infoproductsmadeeasy.com/
<< I don’t know Alan much, I have heard of him before but that’s about it… I read right through the email before I had a look at this and I really liked the layout of the sales copy and the pictures. Very Professional and very personal >>

The affiliates page is here:

http://www.infoproductsmadeeasy.com/affiliates.html
<< Didn’t look at this page until I had already replied to email. Nothing fancy here… A video would have been great. Intro the affiliate page with… "Let me tell you about my product personally via my 3 minute video" that would have been good. Videos have sold me in the past. >>

I’ve set up a number of cut & paste tools on the
affiliates page, as well as images that can be used.
<Don’t need this stuff yet… as I haven’t said yes >>

The "Info Products Made Easy!" course is actually
not an ebook, it’s a six week course where the six
lessons are delivered weekly. This allows the
purchaser to take the action steps provided in each
lesson and to have them implemented before the next
lesson arrives.
<< Good quick explanation of the course. More benefits of what the product course actually does for my customers is needed >>

I hope you’ll consider taking a look Paul, and if you think it would be a good fit
for your list, i’m sure you’ll do well with it.
<< Skimmed this… I was already sold… >>

Incidentally, if you’d like to offer something special to your subscribers, I
have a neat way that you can give them a 30% discount.
<< This got my attention as I always want to get the cheapest price for my list even though it means less commissions for me. I think now is when I clicked on sales page. >>

Please let me know if you’d like to promote.

I look forward to hearing from you Paul.

Thanks,

Kind regards
Roy Carter

<< Simple/Standard Close >>

<< Also it’s a good medium length, no need to reply (if he had everything) >>
/////////////////////////////////////////////

Wow it’s amazing how much you tear something apart even though it is nigh perfect. Over analyzation is bad.

Ok so there are 3 things missing from this JV that I asked about.

1. Conversion rates!

I’m not a testing junkie but I do want to know how well something sells. Therefore I want to at least know what it converted at… specially since somebody already mailed for you. BUT be warned if you do say it converts at 15 -30% I’ll take that with a pinch of sales salt. For example my favorite copywriter said his new membership was converting at 30% for some affiliates… I got 2.69%. Sometimes people do better and sometimes you win… it’s a fact of life/marketing! PPC conversions here are perfect!

2. Product review

I want to see your product before I promote it… period!

3. Affiliate program

I want to know what affiliate program you use. I don’t much like ClickBank as I always have commissions stolen (in this case it was 33%). But in house affiliate programs can take months before I get paid… and I have to trust you 100%.

Just one more thing… I was eagerly awaiting Roy’s reply email. If he was slow I would have forgotten about him. Turns out he replied in less than 2 hours with all the stuff I wanted and asked about. Perfect!

So take away point number 1.

1) Personal! Personal! Personal!

Follow Roy’s example and you will land more JV’s

All the best for your online success,

Sincerely,

Paul Kleinmeulman
Australia

P.S. I highly recommend Roy’s Info Products Made Easy … He knows what he is talking about.

"How Many Guru’s Do This?"

On the subject of Internet Marketing Business, Recommendation

When you buy an ebook off one of the so called ‘Guru’s’ it is extremely rare that you will get their direct personal email address. Sure, you will get a contact email in case there is a problem when you download their ebook or whatever, but that is usually manned by some impersonal help-desk.

Try getting the ‘personal’ email address of these guys and you’ll have a tough job on your hands!

Mostly, once they’ve sold you their product, you don’t get any ongoing help and support, because they’ve made the sale and their not interested in you until they have something new to sell you.

Not true of all of them, I know, but it’s sure as heck true of the vast majority! Unless you are in their inner circle, you’ll never have their private email address to ask for help with the product they’ve sold you.

One guy I know online, is very different from the crowd.

Have you heard of Roy Carter before? Me either… until 2 weeks ago when he sent me a personal email (it was the best JV letter I have read in such a long time and I will be using it in a case study at the end of this week, so you can learn from him… 3 words personal, personal, personal).

Roy has developed a new course that is changing lives and truly helping people like you to join the ranks of the real money earners.

I have personally gone through Roy’s six week course and it is the perfect course for any marketer who hasn’t created their own info product.

No fluff, no filler, just golden information to help you create your own info products that you can sell every single day for years to come.

It’s called "Info Products Made Easy!" and when you get yourself this six week course, you also get Roy’s PERSONAL email address! That way, if you need any help or just some advice, Roy will get your email straight to his personal email account and will be there to guide you every step of the way.

This is one of the good guys online, who truly wants his customers to succeed and he does everything he can to give you a lift up the success ladder.

I wish I could prove my point by telling you about the ***Secret Bonus*** he gives to you once you have completed the course! I wish I could, because the bonus is not just another crappy ebook that will sit on your hard drive and you’ll never read.

That’s not Roy’s style. This bonus will be of real value to you and is something that I’ve NEVER seen any of the so called ‘Guru’s’ offer.

Roy’s page at >>> Info Products Made Easy is well worth the visit just to read the true story he tells!

But if you really want to start earning the BIG bucks online then you NEED to have your own product and Roy is just the guy you need to help you.

Take a look now at >>> Info Products Made Easy

Here’s to your online success,

Sincerely,
