G’ Day Marketers,

Are you tired of hearing about the Black Mask? Me too…

When Chris launched Affiliate Project X and Day Job Killer I was there and I promoted and made some good money as an affiliate.

So why didn’t I promote Black Mask especially since I was one of the few who got a review copy?

2 Reasons…

1. I didn’t think that the principles taught within Black Mask were constructive to building a successful online business and that is what I endeavor to teach you.

2. They used ClickBank as the payment processor which I promised myself that I would not promote another internet marketing business related product via ClickBank.

So now you know…

You’re goal should be ==> Build a Business Not A Fad

All the best for your online success.

Sincerely,

  1. So why is Clickbank bad as a payment gateway?

You promoted Chris’ other ebooks but you didn’t promote this one because you didn’t think it was constructive to building an online business? What methods in APX or DJK did you find suitable for building an online business? I’m curious.

    Regards,

    Jeff

  2. Hi Paul,

If a person doesn’t have a clearly defined goal and a business plan that is the blueprint they use to reach that goal, they aren’t in business.

Too many people are open to shady products or the latest fad because they have not foundation to keep them steady and focused. Forgetting good business basics makes you easy prey and labels you a hobbiest.

Stay true to your values and dream.

  3. Hello Paul,

Just a quick question: would you mind sharing with us why you’ve decided to stop promoting products that are sold via ClickBank? Just curious (and if I’m not careful, I just might learn something!).

    Best regards,
    Tom

  4. I decided to quit promoting internet marketing products via ClickBank because they actually allow people to buy through their own affiliate links thus stealing the promoter of the commission.

Sure there are ways around it but every time I promote a ClickBank product I notice a 60% reduction in sales.

For non internet marketing related niches ClickBank is fine to promote and use and I highly recommend it.

  5. Jeff,

Affiliate Project X was the best in my opinion and from what I remember when Chris talked about finding, building and promoting affiliate/review sites was solid information. The idea of creating a series of affiliate promotional sites for multiple streams of income in my opinion is a solid business model. But creating a lot of spam sites which offer no useful information to the visitor as recommended in Black Mask, is definitely not.

    Tom great comment mate,

All the best for your online success.

  6. Hi Paul… good to see someone did not promote it. I totally agree its the wrong road to follow. Some chase money as the end goal and care not about ethics or who they may lead other to harm. I like to build once and earn long terms as I have since 94.

  7. I was very tempted to purchase Black Mask but decided against. If I can’t do it the right way then I’ll give up. Your article was pleasing as I now feel I was right to decline

I get dozens of emails every day offering what I think are dubious offers. What amazes me is that I will get maybe 10+ emails with the same offer. Some affiliates will send as many as 5 emails in a day.

Also a product on offer one day at say $97 will be on offer in a matter of a few weeks for$7!! I do not think this does much for the credibility of the affiliate or the product.

I can’t help getting the feeling that desperation is what is happening. Times are getting tough and these affiliates are hitting their lists over and over in the vain hope that customers will buy, after all it’s not much effort sending out 1,000’s of emails on autoresponder.

If this is the case it’s not working, I’m sure that I’m not the only one with a bulk delete button that I now use with impunity.

I am quite sure that the search engines stricter policies are going to have a big impact on the internet cowboys and I for one welcome the promised changes.
